Can I bring my gun to the National Western Stock Show?

Firearms are only allowed at the National Western Stock Show in Denver if they are with patrons carrying a concealed-carry permit, city officials and event organizers say.

Open carrying of guns is barred throughout the city despite Colorado’s law allowing the practice elsewhere.

David Broadwell, an assistant city attorney, says Denver’s policy for city buildings and land has been consistent since 2003 when state law broadly allowed concealed carrying.

Those with concealed-carry permits are allowed to have concealed firearms in any city building or land without a metal detector.
