Tigers take first Saturday skate of the season

For the first time, Colorado College coach Mike Haviland had an optional morning skate on Saturday in hopes of helping his players maintain their focus following a good performance on Friday.

Before, the Tigers rested and did film work Saturday mornings.

“We wanted to change things and keep our focus,” Haviland said. “Some guys went out and skated while others stretched and rode the exercise bike.”

Those who didn’t skate met with Haviland while assistants RJ Enga and Gene Reilly led the practice.

No Tigers were injured on Friday so all are on the travel roster are available Saturday. The entire team will go through a film session Saturday afternoon as usual.
