On Christmas, warm greetings from the East – really warm
More record high temperatures were set Christmas Day along the East Coast from New York to Florida for the third straight day.New York City had its warmest Christmas on record, when the temperature reached 66 degrees shortly after midnight in Central Park, the National Weather Service said. John F. Kennedy International Airport (64 degrees) and Islip on Long Island (65 degrees) also set record highs for Dec. 25.Providence, R.I., broke its record high for Christmas with 64 degrees, breaking the record of 63 degrees set last year and in 1964.
