The main gofundme.com page for Ke’Arre Stewart, who was killed Friday in a shooting at Planned Parenthood, has been taken down by the page’s creator, who said Thursday she had concerns about where the money was going.

Amburh White, a friend of Stewart’s, said she created the page for his family and two children in Texas.

White she said she put the funds in the care of Leyonte Chandler, Stewart’s brother. But after more than $20,000 was raised and concerns were expressed about to whom the money would go, White decided to take down the page.

“I took it down because I was advised to,” she said, not saying who advised her. “When I first set the page up, it was for his family and daughters.”

Chandler has not responded to The Gazette’s requests for interviews. White’s gofundme page had a goal of $100,000.

White said she saw some “sketchy” things on the page, which made her question where the money was going. When it became clear that she didn’t know what the family would be doing with the thousands of dollars raised, White removed the page.

There is a second gofundme for Stewart’s family set up by Christen Craion, who told The Gazette that she is the sister of Kentanya Craion, Stewart’s pregnant girlfriend.

That site claims to be raising money for Craion’s unborn child. White said she doesn’t know Craion and could not vouch for that gofundme site.
