Man who broke into homes wielding chainsaw sentenced to 6 years in prison

Gerald Kimble, who pleaded guilty in September to four counts of second-degree burglary, was sentenced on Monday to serve six years in prison.

In May, Kimble broke into several homes while wielding a chainsaw. An El Paso County district court sentenced Kimble to six years in prison for each of his four burglary offenses, however, the court ordered that those sentences will be served at the same time, said Lee Richards, a spokeswoman for the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office.
