Klee blog: NFL power rankings, Week 2
Klee’s NFL power rankings, Week 2:
1. Green Bay (1-0) — How good is that Nov. 1, Rodgers-Manning, Super Bowl XXXII rematch shaping up to be?
2. Denver (1-0) — And you thought I was being too Colorado opening the Broncos at No. 2.
3. Cincinnati (1-0) — Largely overlooked: This roster is in the conversation for the NFL’s best.
4. Kansas City (1-0) — The national storyline is regression of Peyton Manning. But result tonight must be decided by ascension of Von Miller. The Chiefs should win.
5. Arizona (1-0) — Keep an eye on these guys.
6. New England (1-0) — Is media’s anti-Goodell, pro-Belichick crush influencing view of the Patriots? On trophy night, at home, with shaky headsets for the opponent, New England was outgained and outplayed (but not outsmarted!) by Pittsburgh. The champs looked just OK.
7. Dallas (1-0) — Interesting note I remembered while watching Giants quarterback Eli Manning tell his running back to not score in the final 2 minutes: His brother did the same thing in 2013 with Knowshon Moreno against — wait for it — the Cowboys. Here’s the column from that game. Moreno was genuinely confused at Manning’s instructions.
8. Seattle (0-1) — Worth repeating: Kam Chancellor on league’s short list of Guys You Can’t Lose.
9. San Diego (1-0) — By opening with wins against Detroit and at Cincinnati, Chargers would declare AFC West a three-horse race.
10. Buffalo (1-0) — Foot fetishes, etc.
10A. Baltimore (0-1) — Probably not the smartest decision, with Terrell Suggs’ absence and all, but sticking to our Week 1 guns.
