Colorado Rockies 2016 schedule includes Yankees, Red Sox and a Troy Tulowitzki visit
The Rockies will face their former all-star shortstop at the height of summer next year when Troy Tulowitzki and the Toronto Blue Jays travel to Colorado for a three-game series.
Major League Baseball released the Rockies schedule Monday. Colorado opens on Monday, April 4 at Arizona against the Diamondbacks, at 7:40 p.m. MT. The Rockies’ home opener comes against the San Diego Padres on Friday, April 8 at 2:10 p.m. at Coors Field.
The Rockies’ interleague matchups come against the American League East. They will travel to face the Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston May 24-26. They go to New York to face the Yankees on May 21-22.
But the Yankess play in Denver in a Rockies’ two-game home series May 14-15.
Tulowitzki — in his first visit to Colorado since the Rockies traded him in July to Toronoto — and the Blue Jays play at Coors Field in a three-game series June 27-29.
