Police arrest man after heroine, cocaine found in car

Colorado Springs police arrested a man on Saturday night after they found more than $2,000 worth of heroin and cocaine in his car.

Manuel Ramirez-Franco, 36, was booked in the El Paso County jail on suspicion of unlawful distribution of schedule I and schedule II narcotics, as well as on suspicion of driving under the influence.

At 9:18 p.m. , a Colorado Springs police officer stopped Ramirez-Franco’s car on the 200 block of Sandburg Lane to inspect what the officer believed were fake license plates. The officer arrested Ramirez-Franco on suspicion of driving under the influence, and an investigation revealed packaged cocaine and heroin in the car. Police also found $1,237 in the car, and officers estimated that the combined value of the drugs found was $2,910.
