Fewer Colorado Springs residents feel their home is ‘ideal’
You might like your house or apartment in Colorado Springs, but the percentage of Springs-area residents who say their home is ideal is on the low end compared with other cities around the country.
A Gallup survey of nearly 177,000 adults living in the nation’s 100 most populous metro areas, including Washington, D.C., found that 67.8 percent of Springs residents who responded said that their housing was “ideal.”
That was among the lowest percentages recorded in the survey. By contrast, Lancaster, Pa., had the highest percentage of respondents who liked their housing – 78.5 percent. The least likely to enjoy their home? In Dayton, Ohio, 65.1 percent of respondents said their housing was ideal.
Nationwide, the figure was 72.6 percent.
