Woman found on trail in Palmer Lake died from fall
A 70-year-old woman found dead on a Palmer Lake portion of the Santa Fe Trail last month died from injuries sustained in a fall, according to an autopsy report released Thursday.
Phyllis Brown was found by hikers on the Santa Fe Trail on May 21.
She died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the autopsy, which the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said were sustained in a fall. Her death was ruled an accident.
Brown was found in the bluffs southeast of Palmer Lake, according to EPSO.
