City residents have long known the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is at the top of the heap zoo-wise, but now the rest of the country will, too.

Yahoo! Travel named the best zoo in each state, and had this to say about our hometown gem that’s sprawled across 146 acres on the side of a mountain and home to more than 800 animals.
