March is coming in with lions in Manitou Springs this year.

As the weather gets warmer, more wildlife has been milling about the city’s neighborhoods – including mountain lions.

Three juvenile lions have been seen around upper Pawnee Avenue a few mornings this week, according to Russ Vogel, principal of Manitou Springs Elementary School, which is on Pawnee Avenue close to the Manitou Springs Library.

Authorities have been alerted about the prowlers and parents should keep an eye out when taking their kids to school, according to a press release.
