USA Table Tennis picks new chairman
The Board of Directors of Colorado Springs-based USA Table Tennis elected Peter Scudner as its new chairman for the next two years. Scudner, who returns to the position he held from 2008-12, succeeds the outgoing Michael Baubin, who completed his two year term.
Scudner is a senior vice president/wealth management with Janney Montgomery Scott, where he specializes as a strategic adviser for high net-worth individuals and business owners and consultant to his team’s corporate clients.
“This is an exciting time for USA Table Tennis, with a generation of talented youth emerging in our sport.” Scudner said. “I look forward to working with our new CEO, Gordon Kaye, and the entire board, as we work to grow the sport of table tennis in the U.S.”
An active participant with USA Archery and USA Triathlon, he has served on the Board of Directors for USA Table Tennis since 2008. Peter lives in Lancaster, PA with his wife Terri and three children, Cara, Evan, and Amanda.
Organized under the U.S. Olympic Committee as the national governing body for the sport in the United States, USA Table Tennis is a 9,000-member service organization that promotes the culture of table tennis by creating opportunities for athletes and coaches of all backgrounds to participate and advance in the sport through clubs, events and education.
