Dear Donna: Pot becomes common topic in dating world

Dear Donna: Boyfriend has concerns over 'honey-do' list

Dear Donna,

I am divorced and recently started dating again. I have gone on several dates with a wonderful lady. On our last date, she told me that she enjoys edible marijuana, which comes in more forms than I ever imagined. We are well into our 50s and I am not sure how I feel about this. As she points out, it is legal, she is not smoking it and it helps her sleep. Is this a topic you discuss with clients? – Bob

Dear Bob,

Yes, since the legalization of marijuana in the state, it has become a frequent topic. In addition to smoking it and eating it, there is also a vaporizer much like with e-cigarettes, which you can inhale in almost any nonsmoking area because there is no smoke and no smell. I would encourage you not to discontinue seeing this lady if you are interested in getting to know her better. It remains to be seen how legalized marijuana will be viewed in the long run and how our lives will be affected. Also, if it helps her sleep, it is likely better for her than prescription medicine.

Dear Donna,

My dear, sweet boyfriend bought me some Victoria’s Secret items for Christmas. I loved that he got everything in a size “small,” but I tried them on and I know I cannot wear them, in any size. He eagerly is awaiting a “fashion show” that I promised. Help!

Dear Help,

Return the items to Victoria’s Secret and exchange them for items you feel comfortable wearing. Ask the sales staff for help and I bet you will walk out with some sexy things you will feel comfortable wearing. Turn down the lights and light some candles.
