AdAmAn members and guests start the hike to the summit of Pikes Peak Tuesday, December 30, 2014 to set off fireworks at midnight on New Year's Eve. The climb, in its 93rd year, started when Fred Barr and four of his friends climbed Pikes Peak on New Years Eve and set fire to some of the railway ties on the summit. So many people saw and talked about the fire, the group, the "Frozen Five," decided to make the hike an annual tradition and created the AdAmAn Club.
