The U.S. military released footage of their role in the recovery of the Orion spacecraft in the Pacific Ocean.

Orion splashed down on Friday in the Pacific, some 630 miles southwest of San Diego, after four hours in space, according to NASA.

Orion was recovered by the San Diego-based USS Anchorage with the use of Navy divers. It was the first such launch since the Apollo 17 mission 42 years ago, according to the Navy Times.

“This mission exemplifies the U.S. Navy commitment to the research and development of technologies and techniques to ensure the safety of human space flight support. I could not be more proud of my crew,” Anchorage commanding officer Capt. Michael McKenna said in a Nov. 5 statement.
