The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will open 11 Voter Service and Polling Centers on Monday.

Although ballots were mailed to all registered voters in Colorado, El Paso County Clerk and Recorder Wayne Williams said in a statement that the additional polling centers are intended to assist voters through the Nov. 4 election.

Voters can go to any center to obtain a replacement ballot and vote. People can also register to vote and change their existing voter profile at polling centers until 7 p.m. on Election Day.

An additional 13 polling centers are set to open Nov. 3, raising the number to 25, according to the statement.

The centers will open in addition to the Citizens Service Center, at 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road, which has operated as a polling center since Oct. 14.

The final locations of the polling centers, which are within a 10-minute drive of 96 percent of El Paso County residents, were chosen by members of the political parties in the election, the Black/Latino Coalition and other groups, the statement read.

Active voters who have not received a ballot in the mail should visit a polling center or call 575-VOTE (8683).

All ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on Nov. 4. Post-marked ballots received after Election Day will not be counted.

Ballots can be returned at the polling centers, at a drop-box or by mail, which costs about 70 cents in postage, according to the Clerk and Recorder’s Office.
