A rock slide that closed all eastbound lanes of U.S. 24 at the Manitou Springs exit Monday was cleared in about two hours, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. 

About eight rocks the size of basketballs blocked the roadway shortly before 7 a.m., transportation officials said. The lanes were reopened around 8:35 a.m.

No injuries or damage were reported, but the Colorado State Patrol helped control traffic, which was diverted through the westbound lanes, Trooper Nate Reid said.

A single-vehicle rollover at Highway 115 and South Academy Boulevard about 7:45 a.m. stalled the morning commute in Colorado Springs, according to fire officials. 

The driver and single occupant of the vehicle was not injured and the car would be moved and cleared off the road soon, said fire spokesman Capt. Steve Oswald.
