Body found in east Colorado Springs apartment complex

The death of a man whose body was found Monday in an east Colorado Springs apartment complex will not be investigated as “suspicious,” according to police.

The body was discovered about 6:45 a.m. next to a large dumpster inside the Mountain Country Estates off South Academy Boulevard and Pikes Peak Avenue, police said.

The man, who has not been identified, was believed to be in his late 50s, police said.

There was no information on how the man died but police added there were no signs of foul play and there was no risk to the public.
