Major delays on I-25 after morning wrecks
Two separate wrecks, including a rollover on northbound Interstate 25, are causing major delays for Colorado Springs commuters Thursday morning.
According to police, a rollover was reported about 7:30 a.m. just north of the Garden of the Gods Road exit.
The driver and passenger of a blue Chevy sedan suffered non life-threatening injuries when a red Subaru Forester over-corrected changing lanes and struck the Chevy, causing it to go into the median and rollover, police spokeswoman Lt. Catherine Buckley said.
Moments later, a car crashed into a fire truck by the intersection of North Cascade Avenue and West Fillmore Street, but there were no injuries reported, Buckley said.
Both left lanes on northbound I-25 are blocked and traffic is backed up for at least three miles, police said.
