Two men injured in southeast Colorado Springs drive-by shooting
A reported shooting Sunday morning in southeast Colorado Springs resulted in two injuries but no arrests, police said.
Several residents in the area of the 1400 block of East Cheyenne Road, off U.S. 85/87, reported hearing shots fired about 4 a.m.. Officers in the area found no evidence of gunfire, police said.
About 5 a.m., two men with non life-threatening gunshot wounds were admitted at Memorial Hospital Central. The victims were traveling west in the 1400 block of East Cheyenne Road when someone in an unknown vehicle passed them and fired several shots from the passenger side, police said.
At least three bullets entered the victims’ car, causing damage to the driver’s side and injuring two men inside, police said.
