Colorado Springs man accused of assaulting girlfriend
A Colorado Springs man was accused of domestic violence Monday after his girlfriend went to an area hospital and reported she had been assaulted, police said.
Adrian Emilio Felan, 30, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and booked into the El Paso County jail, records show.
According to police reports, the assault was reported about 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis Medical Center.
Officers tracked Felan to a residence in the 2300 block of La Salle Street, off Constitution Avenue and North Circle Drive, but he initially refused to respond to the officers, police said.

The Phillips, parents of Jessica Ghawi, who was killed in the July 20, 2012 Colorado theater shootings, filed a lawsuit Tuesday accusing four online retailers of improperly selling ammunition, tear gas, a high-capacity magazine and body armor used in the attack. The lawsuit alleges it was illegal and negligent to sell the gear to James Holmes, who is accused of killing 12 people and injuring 70 in the July 20, 2012, attack.
