UPDATE: all I-25 lanes are open again after a truck pulling a trailer rolled over.

The center and left lanes of northbound Interstate 25 are now open and the right lane remains blocked after a rollover crash at the Cimarron Street exit, Colorado Springs police confirmed. 

A truck pulling a trailer reportedly rolled over when the trailer broke off from the vehicle about 11:50 a.m. Monday, said police Lt. Patricia Feese.

The truck landed upright and the driver was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries, Feese said.

The left thru-lane is open and motorists are advised to find alternate routes. According to a tweet from police, all lanes are expected to reopen by 1 p.m. 

The same portion of Interstate 25 was shut down earlier Monday morning following a three-vehicle wreck that shut down two lanes of northbound Interstate 25 and slowed morning commuters to a near standstill in Colorado Springs.

There were no injuries reported in the crash that happened shortly after 8 a.m. near the Cimarron Street exit, when a black Chrysler 300 struck the vehicle in front of it, a red Honda Pilot, said police Lt. Catherine Buckley. The Honda drove into the left traffic lane and was broadsided by a gold Chevy pickup truck. 

The driver of the Chrysler, whose identity was not released, was cited with careless driving and habitual traffic offender, Buckley said. 

Emergency and police vehicles blocked the middle and left lanes while traffic got through slowly on the right lane, police said. 

All lanes of northbound Interstate 25 reopened about 9:30 a.m., police said.

According to a tweet from the City’s traffic management division, traffic on northbound Interstate 25 was backed up for about 2.5 miles.
