Two masked men held up a restaurant in west Colorado Springs Thursday, getting away with some cash and prompting an investigation by police.

Officers were dispatched to Alfonso’s Mexican Food at 1022 South 21st Street, off U.S. 24, about 12:20 a.m. for a robbery, police said.

Investigators discovered two masked men had confronted an employee in the back of the business, pushed him into the restaurant and demanded money.

Both men got away with an undisclosed amount of money and the restaurant employees were not harmed, police said,

Police searched the area with a K-9 unit but did not find the robbers.
