A tractor-trailer went out of control on Interstate 25 north of the Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain on Tuesday after an apparent tire blow out, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The northbound tractor-trailer hauling cars struck a guard rail on the left shoulder of the highway, drove over the median ditch and crossed into the southbound lanes about 9:40 a.m., said Trooper Nate Reid.

The truck stopped on the southbound off-ramp at exit 123; no other vehicles were involved in the crash and no one was injured, Reid said.

The southbound off-ramp was blocked less than hour and the tractor-trailer was towed away with minimum damage, Reid said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not cited, Reid said.
