Colorado Springs woman arrested on suspicion of assault
A woman who allegedly fired a handgun during an altercation was arrested on suspicion of assault Tuesday, according to Colorado Springs police.
Jessica McInvale, 28, could also face felony menacing and reckless endangerment charges, police said.
McInvale and a former boyfriend were arguing about the ownership of computer equipment about 10 p.m. in a residence on the 4400 block of Flintridge Drive, off North Academy Boulevard, police said.
The argument escalated and McInvale allegedly fired a warning shot with a 9mm handgun. Police discovered she was a previous offender not allowed to possess firearms, according to police reports.
McInvale was taken into custody without incident and booked into the El Paso County jail, records show.
