Two men were arrested after police said they allegedly lured a man into their car and robbed him at gunpoint Tuesday night in east Colorado Springs.

Joshua William Day, 24, and Justin Lashawn Miller, 20, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery and booked into the El Paso County jail, records show.

According to police reports, the victim was walking on the 300 block of Lionstone Drive, off North Murray Boulevard and East Platte Avenue, about 9:20 p.m. when two men in a red Ford Taurus sedan approached him and offered to buy marijuana from him.

The victim got into the car and one of the occupants pulled out a handgun, demanding money, police said.

The man told police he fainted and when he regained consciousness, Day and Miller were allegedly going through his pockets, taking his wallet, cell phone and an undisclosed amount of money.

The alleged robbers then let the man go and drove off, but were detained shortly after by officers patrolling the area.

Day and Miller will be advised of the charges Thursday at the El Paso County courthouse, records show.
