Two men sought in alleged armed kidnapping

Two men wanted on suspicion of kidnapping another man at gunpoint last week were arrested in Ellsworth, Kansas, Colorado Springs police said.

Warrants for second-degree kidnapping and felony menacing were issued for Nicholas Heraldo Archuleta, 24, and James Manton Brown Jr., 23, according to a statement released by police Wednesday.

Archuleta and Brown allegedly kidnapped a man on June 17 during an encounter at Cottonwood Creek Park, off Rangewood and Vickers drives, police said.

According to scanner reports, the victim was forced into a black Dodge Avenger at gunpoint.

The man was driven back to the park and released unharmed after he complied with Archuleta and Brown’s demands, but police did not specify what the demands were.
