Colorado Springs police said a man who was shot in the stomach on Saturday night is expected to recover, and a 27-year-old has been arrested in the incident.

Cody Hurst was held on investigation of assault, police spokeswoman Lt. Catherine Buckley said Monday.

The man who was shot was taken to a hospital after he was found wounded on the 2500 block of Cather Avenue, near Astrozon and South Academy boulevards, police said.

Several people were questioned before officers zeroed in on Hurst.

The identity of the victim wasn’t released.
