Armed Colorado Springs man chases away car burglars
A man armed himself and chased away three men who had broken into several vehicles Monday morning in northeast Colorado Springs, police said.
Officers checked on a disturbance involving a weapon about 3:20 a.m. on the 5800 block of Grapevine Drive, off Austin Bluffs Parkway and Stetson Hills Boulevard, police said.
By the time officers arrived, the victim had used a weapon to threaten the burglars and they had fled, police said.
Police did not find the men and the investigation revealed they had burglarized at least three vehicles parked in the neighborhood overnight.
