Police investigate early Sunday shooting in Colorado Springs; one taken to hospital with gunshot wound
One man was taken into police custody Sunday morning and another to a Colorado Springs hospital with a gunshot wound, according to police.
Police were called at 1:31 a.m. to 460 N. Murray Boulevard, south of East Platte Avenue, to calls of gunshots. Police found several people trying to leave a parking lot and found one man shot, according to a news release.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police recovered multiple guns and several shell casings from the scene, according to the news release. Three businesses in the area and a parked vehicle sustained gunshot damage.
Raoul Jones, 24, was taken into police custody in connection to the shooting.
