Colorado Springs police confiscate suspected heroin, cash after wreck
A car crash Monday night led Colorado Springs police to confiscate what they said was heroin with an estimated value of up to $40,000.
One driver reportedly fled from the two-vehicle wreck happened about 9 p.m. at the intersection of Brook Park Drive and Dublin Boulevard, off North Academy Boulevard, according to police.
Officers investigating the crash recovered over 138 grams of suspected heroin and about $7,600 in cash from the vehicle of the driver who fled the scene, police said.
The narcotics could have a street value between $15,000 and $40,000, police said.
There were no injuries from the crash and police did not make any arrests.
