Police: Colorado Springs man accidentally shoots himself in jaw
A man was accidentally shot in the face and was found laying on the front yard of a home near downtown Colorado Springs, police said.
A neighbor called police about 6 p.m. Sunday and said a man may have been shot in the neck and was outside in the yard on the 100 block of North 7th Street, off West Colorado Avenue.
Officers arrived and found the man had a gunshot wound on his jaw and determined it had been acciental, but police did not state who was responsible. The man was taken to the hospital and was expected to recover, police said.
