Going old school

Curling has been around for centuries – there’s evidence it has been played since the 1500s in Scotland.

Since I just came from a weekend of competing and practicing at the Chicago Curling Club, home of the American Curling History Museum, I thought I’d share this gallery of fantastic photos of curlers from the mid-20th century.

Hurry Hard!

Walter Selck, Edward O’Shaughnessy, and Quinton Crawford, all of North Shore, curl at the Chicago Curling Club on Jan. 11, 1955. The curlers where playing against the Scottish team, who traveled from Scotland and beat the Chicago Curling Club in the first of seven matches that were played throughout the country.
