Woman killed, man badly injured in single-vehicle crash near Calhan
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash east of Calhan that left a woman dead and sent a man to the hospital with life threatening injuries Wednesday.
The crash happened about 7:54 p.m. at the intersection of Calhan Highway and Funk Road about 2 ? miles east of Calhan, Trooper Josh Lewis said.
The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, and the male driver was taken to Memorial Central Hospital, he said. Neither has been identified, he said.
“At this point, that’s about the extent of what we have,” Lewis said. “Don’t know any cause of crash or anything right now.”
