Coloradans get more than $425 million in loan relief under settlement
U.S. consumers have received $51.3 billion in total relief under the National Mortgage Settlement, with 7,539 borrowers in Colorado getting more than $425 million under the settlement, Colorado officials said Thursday.
Joseph A. Smith Jr., monitor of the National Mortgage Settlement, issued his final report Thursday regarding the total amount granted by the five banks that are parties to the settlement.
The banks disclosed that from March 1, 2012 through June 30, they extended relief to 643,726 borrowers nationwide.
The employee-owned, co-op club will close in two weeks because it can no longer afford its rent. (AP)
