Police across Colorado received a warning Tuesday about a 31-year-old man who allegedly threatened to kill his estranged wife and children, who live in the Colorado Springs area.

According to a BOLO — “Be On The Lookout” — read over the scanner, the man is considered armed and dangerous.

“Party contacted his parents in Salida last night at 10:30 p.m. advising that he was going to kill himself along with his estranged wife and children,” according to the dispatch.

“He also made threats to his parents and other members of his family living in the Pueblo area. He was last known to be working in Montana in the oil fields and stated he was coming back to Colorado to act out the violence he threatened,” according to the dispatch.

The man is white, 5-foot-8 and 190 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, a muscular build and multiple tattoos.

He is believed to be driving a white 2005 Chrysler Pacifica with license plate number 514-SZZ “with a rear tail light that is damaged and one of them has red tape over it,” according to the dispatch.

“The party has been diagnosed with bipolar and other mental illnesses and is currently not taking any of his medication. He’s also a heavy methamphetamine user and has had extreme anger management issues,” according to the dispatch.

The man’s family believes the man is in possession of several weapons missing from his family’s residence.

“He also told his parents he recently purchased a handgun. He told his parents that if he is contacted by law enforcement, there will be a shootout,” according to the dispatch.

At this time, the man is only being sought for the threat he made against himself.

“If contact is made, please use extreme caution and check his welfare.”
