I’d love to tell you that I’ve seen a screener for the two-hour premiere of AMC’s “Mad Men,” which begins its sixth season on Sunday, but I’d be lying. I get early looks at plenty of other shows (ABC’s “Splash?” Pfft), but the best network on TV is more tightlipped about its flagship series than Don Draper about his past as Dick Whitman. I do know this season is more focused on Don than in recent memory and that two of the wildest years of the 1960s (‘68 and ’69) are on the horizon. Considering that series creator Matt Weiner has stated that “Mad Men” will complete its run at the end of season seven, I couldn’t be more excited to see where he takes viewers in this second to last season.
