Work on I-25 widening project postponed
Night work on the Interstate 25 expansion project, which was scheduled to begin Monday, has been postponed because snow is in the forecast, the Colorado Department of Transportation said Friday.
“The activities impacted include placing concrete barriers to the outside lanes of both northbound and southbound I-25 to create a protected work zone,” CDOT said.
A decision on when to begin work will be made after weather and road conditions are evaluated Monday.
The project will widen 11 miles of I-25 to three lanes in both directions between Woodmen Road in Colorado Springs and Monument.
