A 22-year-old woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of second-degree assault after she allegedly stabbed her husband in the back and arm.

Colorado Springs police say they were dispatched to an apartment complex on Palacio View about 12:30 p.m. on a report of a stabbing.

The victim, a man in his 20s, initially told police he had been stabbed by two men at a nearby 7-Eleven. But officers later learned that he had been stabbed by his wife at their apartment after a domestic disturbance, police said.

The man was treated at a local hospital with “possibly life-threatening stab wounds,” police said.
