GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Pikes Peak Chr. 49, Miami-Yoder 19

At Pikes Peak Christian: Iyanu Lipede scored a team-high 12 points and Sarah Buckhouse added 11 as Pikes Peak Christian (7-12) defeated Miami-Yoder to advance in the 2A District 8 tournament.

The Eagles will play at The Vanguard School on Wednesday.

Kennedy Parson and Heather Sterner each scored eight for the Eagles, who jumped out to an 18-1 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
