An alleged sticky-fingered man who Colorado Springs firefighters say was filching items from their truck was arrested by police Friday afternoon.

Firefighters were working on a medical call just after 3 p.m. at 3490 Afternoon Circle in southeastern Springs when they spotted Robert Monteil, 32, climb into the cab of a fire engine take items out of it, police said in a news release Officers were called and spotted Monteil.

Monteil ran away but was caught after he was zapped with a stun gun by police.

He was arrested on investigation of theft.
