Moreno, Kuper among injured Broncos who need healing
Now comes the healing.
Although the Denver Broncos entered the postseason relatively healthy, there are a number of players who might need offseason surgery.
Running back Knowshon Moreno, who emerged as a potent offensive force the last six weeks of the season, left Saturday’s game with a knee injury. Before getting hurt early in the third quarter, he gained 32 yards on 10 carries and also caught a 14-yard touchdown pass. Moreno was fitted with a knee brace as he left the stadium Saturday night, but he was walking without much limp as he walked through the locker room Sunday.
Cornerback Omar Bolden also left Saturday’s game with an injured left shoulder.
Although right guard Chris Kuper gutted it out and started against the Ravens for the first time in over two months, he acknowledged he might be facing surgery on his problematic left ankle.
