ANITA’S PICK: Bristol Beer Dinner

They had me at Venetucci Pumpkin Ale. But now that I have looked over the Tapateria’s menu for this five-course, five-beer dinner, I wouldn’t miss it even if a drop of the Pumpkin Ale wasn’t to be had. The taste-masters at Tapateria, 2607 W. Colorado Ave., has attempted to capture the essence of each brew within each course and I am totally on board. What has me most intrigued is the paleta-wrapped duck galantine with asparagus and vichy carrots pared with the Christmas Ale. You can join Mike Bristol and Bristol Brewing’s General Manager Tom Zurenko, along with representatives from Coltrain Wine and Spirits, at 6 p.m. Tuesday as they celebrate this seemingly perfect union of hops, barley and fine foods. Cost is $49 per person and reservations are necessary. Call 475-9700 or tapateria.com for more details. Check out the full menu at pizzeriarustica.com/eblast.
