UPDATE: Second crash snarls southbound I-25
Southbound Interstate 25 is fully open again following an accident south of Castle Rock, the latest in a rollercoaster day for a 10-mile stretch of the highway in Douglas County.
According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, both lanes of the highway reopened shortly before 2:30 p.m. For about a half hour, only one southbound lane of I-25 had been getting by at mile marker 177. That is just north of the Tomah Road exit.
