Obamacare debate bungled by Obama himself
Health care reform advocates must have been writhing in agony in front of their televisions last night as one of the best opportunities to defend Obamacare was bungled by Obama himself.
The Tweets and comments were brutal. The president has had years to hone a succinct and convincing argument about what history may record as the most significant and controversial action of his term, and still he’s bouncing the First Pitch in the dirt. Romney may have confused careful listeners with his call for repeal of Obamacare while saying he would reinstate many of its key points, but he delivered his argument for state and private market solutions smoothly and forcefully.
As for Obama? Read for yourself, from a transcript posted by CNN. Watching the video delivery is even tougher on the president, with his pauses and seeming irritation at having to say it all over again.
