The Halloween season has arrived (have you been to Walgreens lately?) and I am dying to check out the gruesome, (fake) blood-dripping freak show that is the Haunted Mines. It starts at 8 p.m. Thursday and runs through Halloween at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry, 225 North Gate Blvd. Tickets are $10 or you can take the fast-track to the front of the line with a $20 VIP ticket. Ticket prices go up as the calendar nears Halloween but you’ll be thrilled to know that all proceeds from this haunted house go straight back into the community through local charities.
