Assaults top all arrests at Mile High last Broncos season
There were 53 people arrested at Mile High during the eight Denver Broncos home games of the 2011-12 season season, according to police records.
The offenses ran the gamut, from public urination and fighting to concealed weapons.
From Aug. 20, 2011 to Jan. 8, 2012, Denver police made 13 arrests for assault, three arrests for urinating in public, eight arrests for ticket scalping and six arrests from public indecency and disturbing the peace.
In order to combat this type of behavior, the Broncos recently adopted a new National Football League policy where any fan ejected from Sports Authority Field at Mile High for hooligan-like behavior must pay to take a decorum class before he or she can attend a future game.
