Ongoing road construction on Interstate 25 south of Fountain is causing major delays in the area Friday afternoon.

Reconstruction on five bridges between Pikes Peak International Raceway and Fountain has narrowed northbound I-25 to one lane.

The closure is causing a backup over a five-mile stretch from PPIR. Drivers traveling on I-25 north around milemarkers 121 and 122 should be prepared for delays.
