Police are looking for a man who mugged a 59-year-old male by knifepoint about 11:50 p.m. Friday on Saratoge Drive near Carmel Drive in southeast Colorado Springs.

The assailant asked for a light and when the victim reached for his lighter, the assailant grabbed the victim from behind and pressed a knife against the victim’s throat, according to a police report.

The mugger took the victim’s wallet and ran away.

The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The assailant was described by police as a male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, with a deep voice, about five-feet nine-inches tall, and 170 pounds. He was wearing dark jeans, white shirt, and a black baseball hat with a logo on the front.
